This picturesque bay, just a few minutes walk from Veduta Farmhouse, is one of the quietest beaches in Gozo.  Featured in the movie By The Sea, it's a secluded spot, ideal for swimming or snorkeling.  Located withing a deep gorge, the deep blue waters and pebbly beach make for a relaxing day "by the sea".

The clear waters, caves and the rich aquamarine life also make Mgarr ix-Xini one of the best places in Gozo for underwater photography.

The entrance to this deep and stunning valley is reached by car or a hike from Sannat or Xewkija and is guarded by a tower built in 1661 by the Knights of St. John.  A walk around the valley and to the tower offers unique and magnificent views.
